Arrival
Last night I watched the first episdoe of the new Smallville season. Some “die hard fans” hated it. I didn’t. I thought it was extremely action packed. I treat Smallville like an elseworlds story. I know Clark never met Lois in Smallville, stop talking about it. I like it better as a alternate story of Supermans upbringing. I’d rather not know what’s going to happen next. All we do know is Clark becomes Superman and Lex hates him in the end. Thats about it. And I’d like to keep it that way. Maybe all of Smallville finds out Clark’s secret and some massive earthquake swallows up the town in the seris finale. Will it happen? Don’t think so, but I like not knowing whats going to happen next. (Spoilers follow)
So back to the episode. I loved the look of the Fortress of Solitude, but then again I was a big fan of the Superman movies in the Early 80s. Also the fact that Zod is coming to smallville makes me all giddy. (Sidenote, Please prepare for Zod becoming our future president by visiting Zod2008.com) And it seems like Lex is getting really pissed with Clark and the secrets he keeps from him. Just a whole bunch of stuff happening and I think all of it works… except one part.
Ok so Cloe is left in Northern Canada(?) for treatment as Clark goes to help out smallville. Clark loses his powers and seems to completely forget the Cloe is up north in a hosiptol bed? What the hell man, atleast call the girl. In the end Lex comes and picks up Cloe and seems to be grilling her as soon as he gets there. But it just made Clark look like an idiot to completely flake on leaving a friend who just found out that your an alien IN CANADA. Ok thats enough from me.
