Found this on /. today. Certain “highly anticipated” Xbox 360 title filling four discs worth of space
4 Disks? Thats a bit much. The article also says
Microsoft’s J Allard downplayed the storage issues, citing that improved compression rates in the future will allow much more data to be held on an individual disc, and that the pre-launch crunch forced many current 360 titles to use space far more inefficiently than they would have otherwise.
So maybe its not as bad as they say. But sooner or later they will hit that cap and all those recently purchased Xbox306’s won’t beable to play new “HD Disk” games that Microsfot will be pumping out. I’m sure they’ll have some kind of Drive so the older 360s can play these new games, but why buy it now? So you can play Madden on the pretty new 360? Doesn’t make sense to buy it now.
Looks like we’ll have something to put on those holiday letters in 2006… Superhero Stamps! Ok yeah I’m a geek (if the title of the blog didn’t tip you off… you have no hope.). And one of them is Jim Lee’s Batman! SSH has a link to the images, check em out.
X-Men 3 tease was released last night on the apple website. It looked good.
A few complaints.
- Storms hair looked old ladyish in one shot, now it was a quick shot so maybe its not that bad. But what was wrong with the X2 hair? The white with a hint of blonde? Why add grey highlights?
- Angels wings looked off. I’m not sure what it was. Again it was a quick shot, but they looked too bright for me. Then again what does a man with wings look like?
- WHERES NIGHTCRAWLER?!?! Not one shot of Nightcrawler. Is it a rule that we can only have one blue character per movie? (IE beast)
Things I liked.
- Magneto takes out the golden gate bridge… or some other major bridge with cars and stuff on it!
- Jean shatters open a door - The only few shots of Jean she looked like a robot. That un-blinking slow walk kind of thing. Yay dark phoenix
- Beast. I’m kind of mixed about this, but I’m glad they went the makeup route instead of CGI.
