Woah! Two posts in one day! I could push it to three if I really wanted to. Anyway, SHH posted this article with screen captures of some storyboards that’ll be on the Fantastic Four DVD.
Marvel Studios’ Avi Arad mentions that Wolverine will have to do what he dislikes the most… become a leader. We also see Wolverine/Mystique being injected with something in the storyboards, Magneto breaking prisoners out of cells, and the Golden Gate Bridge being destroyed and being redirected towards Alcatraz.
Neat! I love when Magneto does big stuff like that. It’s almost like that arc Morrison did when Magneto wrecked the Manhatten bridge… but not quite.

Comic book fan rumor we heard over the Turkey Day holiday has it that the Joker in the Batman Begins sequel won’t be zany and clowny but rather, in keeping with the tone of director Chris Nolan’s films, will be dark and frightening with a broad smile under his wide-brimmed hat.
According to our sources, the Joker will be an x-factor in the Gotham crime scene, sometimes acting against the Batman and sometimes acting against the Mob still taking orders from the League of Shadows.
Meanwhile, the Penguin is rumored to be a Russian arms dealer working with Gotham gangsters. No word on the imminent return of the Scarecrow.
I like the idea of a grim Joker. It’s something different, we’ve been the over the top Joker from the Burton Batman (and from the 60s show). It’d be nice to have just a creepy Joker.

Well, score one for my agent, who told me two weeks ago that Warners had pulled the “Aquaman” movie option from the folks who’d been developing it because they were planning to do a “Smallville” spin-off featuring the sea king. Kinda sucks to be the actor who is now going to be recast. Perhaps he can form a support group with Stuart Townsend who was tossed after a week of shooting LOTR for Viggo.
Now I saw the Aqua episode in Smallville and liked the actor who played him. He might be a bit too “surfer dude” for me, but the man does live in the water, maybe it all went to his head or something. Of course from that episode you’ll notice what they’ll use instead of kryptonite… lack of water. I suppose its good and bad, good is it’ll give me something comicbook-like to watch after Smallville ends (I mean how much longer is this series going to go on for? Honestly I’d love to see another Superman series staring the same cast after Smallville… but thats me.). The bad every episode is going to be something like: Random villain lures Aquaman out of the ocean and holds him captive. I’ll watch it, but I’m not sure for how long. They’d have some big shoes to fill if they want to take over Smallville’s spot after thats done with.
So I’m reading /. early today and saw a post on Superman V. Being the comic geek that I am I needed to check it out. The post links to this. A story about the decade long production hell that the Superman Movie has been in. Some really messed up stuff in this article that if it went to the screen it would be far worse than any other comic movie made… yes even catwoman. I’ll highlight some of my favorites.

I don’t own an xbox, but one is hard pressed to ignore the 50 million reviews previews and email spam about it. Ok it might be pretty easy to ignore if you don’t visit any tech sites and have a decent spam blocker, but for me not so easy. Anyway, the 360 was released today and I’m not so sure I’m going to be picking one up. (more…)
