Review: Star Wars Ep. III
So I was one of the many that went to Star Wars at 12:01 on Wednesday. I’m not a huge fan of the series but my friend is and I went with him. I had mixed feelings about the movie. Maybe it was the late movie or something but the middle seemed kind of slow. Nothing awful about that, they do need to build up Skywalker’s switch. But thats my main problem, his switch is too sudden. Kind of went like this:
Sith Lord: “Come on help me out”
Skywalker: “I don’t think I should”
Sith Lord: “Just do it pansy ass”
Skywalker: “Ok.”
Sith Lord: “Now go kill all your friends and their children”
Skywalker: “Yes master”
Maybe someone needs to explain the dark side to me. OR they should have in the movie. Maybe it’s like being possessed and they become a completely different person. I mean he started to choke his wife, who he switched sides to help her live in the first place, kind of defeating the point there Ani. I think it needed to be longer, and just focus on that inner struggle.
That being said they did set up the orginal movie rather nicely. You get to learn why no Jedi’s were disappearing when they died like Obe and Yoda did. And you get to see Yoda kick some major ass. I did get a little chill when I first heard Vader’s “breathing”. So going back to another post about the star wars TV show, I think they should do it. Seems like quite a few things happen between episodes 3 and 4 that need to fill the gap.
